Action Required

In an effort to prevent any mad scrambles during next week’s FSA Writes Administration, I would like to compile a list of people that are willing to assist during their planning in the event of a sub shortage. Please fill out the machform below with dates and times that you’d be available. Of course the usual perks will be offered: beat the bus, comp time, Coyote Cash, as well as Rusty and my undying appreciation, etc.!

School News

FSA Writing Begins on Monday

FSA Writing begins on Monday. Testing will last 1st-4th period each day and will go as follows:

Mon - 6th/7th

Tue - 8th

Wed - 9th

Thu - 10th

Fri - Makeups

4th and 6th Periods are SWITCHED on Monday, 4/1, ONLY

There will be a makeup session(s) Tue-Thu in the afternoon with any remaining students testing on Friday.

We will be testing in various locations throughout campus. So, encourage your students to be mindful during passing periods and teachers should be out in the hallways during passing periods to provide supervision.

Check out all things FSA/EOC in the FSA & EOC - Spring 2019 SharePoint folder. You can view student and proctor rosters as they become available, testing scripts, proctor materials, and much more to help make this our best testing season ever!

Free Breakfast to All FSA/EOC Testers on Day of Exam

All students will receive a free breakfast on each day of their FSA/EOC exam. Students taking exams by grade (ELA, Writing, Civics, 6th Math) will automatically receive the free meal. Students taking exams not by grade (Alg1, Geo, 7th Math, 8th Math, Bio, USH) will receive vouchers to use on the first day of the exam. Vouchers for the second day will be distributed by proctors during testing.

April 22 Earth Day

April 22nd is Earth Day, the facilities and safety committee would like to challenge all of you to help reduce our ecological footprint here at CCMHS.

Our goal for the month of April is to reduce our electric bill as compared to April 2018 by a total of 10%! Here is how you can help:

  • Make sure you keep your windows closed at all times
  • Turn off the lights in rooms that are not being used
  • Turn off your projectors when not in use
  • Close the blinds before the end of the day

Let us all work as a community and strive to be green here in Coyote country. We can set a positive example for our observant coyotes, and even encourage them to help out at the end of the day!

If the school as a whole can achieve this goal, you will have the option to choose a beat the bus pass, or a jeans day! Go Coyotes!

Marine Corps' Educators Workshop

Faculty applications are now being accepted for the Marine Corps' Educators Workshop at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina. The purpose of the trip is to give a behind the scenes look at how young men and women are initially trained and transformed from a civilian into a trained Marine.

The program is June 11-14 and is fully funded (including round-trip airfare) by the Marine Corps. Spots are limited, see Jen Larimore for more information and application.
