Writing STAAR Test next week!!!

It's finally that time! This is the real deal! The writing STAAR will be on Tuesday, March 29th. Please make sure your child is well rested and feed a healthy and hearty breakfast.

Math and Science Focus Wall

In math we finished up measuring angles and next week we will be using models to determine the formulas for area and perimeter, including the formula for a square and rectangle.

In science we wrapped up creating our Conservation Postcards, which we will send to two 3rd grade classes on Monday. Next week we will begin discussing forces affecting Earth’s surface, including weathering, erosion, and deposition. Over Spring Break your student’s will be asked to take photos of any examples of WED (weathering, erosion, and/or deposition) they may identify.

Testing as a Genre

Homework: Passages will come home for now on without questions, students are to use strategies to analyze the passage. The next day in class the student will be given the questions to complete.
