Notes for Parents
Class photographer needed for each class
Class photographer description: Each class at CCE is designating at least one photo parent. Please consider volunteering for this simple and easy role. Class photographers make sure all special events for the class are photographed, such as special friend’s day, parties, the fun run, etc. Don’t worry, you do not have to attend all the events yourself. Just make sure at least one parent is taking photos of the event and collect them for the yearbook committee. If you like taking photos this is a quick and easy way to get involved.
After School Plans
Please remember to make “after school” plans before sending your child to school. We realize that there are emergency situations, and we will try our best to accommodate these. However, the many phone calls at the end of the day can be disruptive to the learning environment, and unfortunately, we are sometimes not able to get the message to the child in time.
Forgotten Items
“Forgotten items” such as backpacks, shoes, lunch boxes, supplies, etc. that parents bring to school will now have a “new home”. There is a white shelf with grade levels marked. Any item that a parent brings to school will be placed on the shelf (with a sticky note) for the learner to pick up. We will no longer interrupt class to bring items to the learners. It will be the leaner’s responsibility to check their grade level shelf for items brought to school after 8:00 a.m.
Background Check Reminders
Background Check for Volunteers is On-line
If you are planning to volunteer at CCE this year, CISD requires that a background check be on file. You may access the on-line form here.
Please submit your request at least two weeks prior to the volunteer event.Save The Date: Special Friends Day
Please mark your calendar for our upcoming “Special Friends Day” on Friday, October 2nd.
This is a day set aside for students to invite a special friend, parent or grandparent to school for lunch. Special Friends may bring their quilts or lawn chairs to enjoy picnics. More information will be coming soon.Interested in being a Colt Stacker?
