The Eagle's Nest

Week of October 26

Eagle Families,

This is going to be a fun week for students! We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week, we have our PBIS celebrations, and students may wear their favorite Fall or Halloween shirt on Friday. Fourth and fifth grade students in Cohort A may wear their favorite shirt on Tuesday. We are selling prepaid popcorn, Halloween rings, and other fun things our students enjoy. Order sheets will go home on Monday in bookbags.

We're continuing our study on Jamaican culture this week. Students hear important facts daily, and students are enjoying Jamaican music over our sound system every morning. Ask your child what they have learned so far.

We have five important reminders for you this week:

1. Health Screenings are due by October 30th for Kindergarten students and those who have transferred to Clyde Erwin from out of state. Students who have not returned these forms will not be allowed to come to school on November 2nd. Students can return the day the health screening is returned.

2. The PBIS celebration for Cohort A is Tuesday, Oct. 27 and all other students on Thursday, Oct. 29.

3. I have started meeting with students who are chronically late to school on a weekly basis to set goals and to offer rewards for arriving on time. Please help us help your child be successful. All students should arrive before 8am.

4. Popcorn, Halloween rings, bubbles, pencils, and slime will be available for purchase this week. Order forms will go home on Monday. All students may wear their favorite Fall or Halloween shirt on Friday at no cost. Cohort A may wear them on Tuesday.

5. Our NC Check-Ins for 3rd-5th grades are on Tuesday and Thursday. Please make sure your laptop is charged, arrive at school on time, and eat breakfast so you're ready to do your best.
