The Manning Weekly Update
February 21, 2023

Hello Manning Parents,
I hope everyone enjoyed the four-day weekend!
You may have noticed that we had a tree blow over in front of the school (caused by the high winds). Our awesome Jeffco Schools Maintenance department was quick to take care of this potential hazard! We want to thank the folks that work in Jeffco Schools Maintenance and our very own Victor Reid, Manning's Facility Manager, for taking such great care of our facilities.
Tomorrow our choir and select band and orchestra students leave for Disney World, where they will perform and probably have a lot of fun as well. Thanks go out to Shawna Mendez for organizing this awesome opportunity for students.
The Talent Show is always a highlight of the year and this year's was awesome. It is so fun to see our students get on stage and entertain! All of this year's acts were outstanding! Thanks again, to StuCo, Shawna Mendez and Babette Norton for leading this.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, by invite only. If you would like to meet with a teacher, please reach out to them directly, or contact the main office.
We welcomed special guest, Matt Hilbert (Manning's new principal for the 23/24 year) at our PTA meeting last Thursday. Mr. Hilbert enjoyed participating in the meeting and he is excited to start working at Manning!
Thanks for all your support. Mike Collins, Principal

Parent/Teacher Conferences
Thursday, February 23rd, 4:00-7:30 p.m. (In-Person Only)
Manning teachers will be holding conferences with families on an “invite only” basis. Teachers will be reaching out over the next two weeks to schedule these in-person conferences with you and your child.
Please note: If your student has a teacher for both a core class and an elective, you will only have the one time slot to meet with them to discuss both classes.
In addition, please continue to monitor your students' attendance and grades in our online grading/attendance system, Infinite Campus. Of course if you have any questions, please feel free to email your students' teacher or counselor.
