Principal's Update

Tiger Families,

LIS Tigers are ready for some football. We finished out our week with NFL Spirit Day today with students sporting their favorite team jerseys and gear. Thanks to all our students who participated.

During this National Suicide Prevention Week, we want to remind all of our students and families of the resources that we have available here at school to support students, including our student services/office team of Mrs. Purdin (School Counselor), Mr. Gilbert (School Psychologist), Mr. Hart (Assistant Principal), and me along with counseling services through Best Point Solutions and our Jr. Hope Squad. Help is also available through the national suicide and crisis hotline by dialing 988. Please remember to encourage your students to reach out to a trusted adult if they are in need or are concerned about a peer.

Have a great weekend! Go Tigers!

Resource for Families

Our partners at BestPoint Behavioral Health recognize the continuing challenges facing students, families, and schools today regarding mental health needs associated with the pandemic. To support families at home, they have put together an online class that teaches practical, easy-to-use techniques that help children rebound from the stress and anxiety called, "Post-Pandemic Parenting". This compact set of short modules provides parents and guardians strategies to help children manage stress, anxiety, and depression.
