PowerSchool Parent Portal Form in Need of Attention
There are a few forms I’d like to highlight that need your attention:
- Parent/Guardian and Emergency Contact Update Form. Please take a moment to review the information on file for your family (phone numbers, emergency contacts, etc.) and make any necessary changes. This will ensure we can contact you quickly and receive SwiftK12 alerts.
- Change of Address Form. Let us know if you have moved by completing this form.
- Dismissal Procedures. We have updated Policy 8601 - Student Supervision After School Dismissal. An essential change to this policy is dismissing students who walk home from school. Signed permission will be required to dismiss students in grades three to eight to walk home unescorted. Please log in to the Parent Portal and update the dismissal form if you permit your student to walk home unescorted. Students will not be released to walk home without permission.
We Are All Artists- Mural Project
Sussex Avenue School students, faculty, and staff have been working for several weeks to develop and design our 4th grade Legacy Project. Our artist, Caren Frost Olmsted, will be taking our vision and essentially drawing out a huge coloring book—and we get to paint it in!
On February 3rd, 4th-grade students will be working with our artist during the school day with their classmates. Any student who is absent during their designated time slot will have an opportunity to participate during a make-up session on the 8th.
We will be working with paint, please have your student wear appropriate clothing—i.e. painting clothes and old sneakers/boots.
Calling ALL Parents!
Parent volunteers are critical to the success of our mural project. We have many opportunities for you to help out. We need each slot filled to ensure we can complete the mural in the allotted time. If you are available to volunteer, please complete the sign-up genius below.
Please note: During the parent volunteer time slots, students/children will not be permitted in the building. This is strictly adults only. All volunteers will complete the COVID screening form. If you have anyone in your household awaiting COVID-19 test results and/or are experiencing any symptoms, we appreciate your willingness to help but please remain at home. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
