WMS Weekly Warrior
Week of 6-10-19
Another busy week ahead at WMS. Our eighth grade students are going to Holiday Hill on Tuesday and 6th grade is going to Quassy on Thursday. The District Art show is also this week, starting on Tuesday and ending on Thursday. Finally, our End of the Year Celebration will be on Friday. As the year winds down, we will be moving at a frenetic pace. Activities such as our Variety Show and graduation rehearsal will be filling our days.
Friday, the eighth grade dance was held in the WMS gymnasium. The gym looked awesome! Thanks to all the parents on the dance committee who decorated, provided food, and cleaned up. The kids had a blast!
On Monday of last week, the Connecticut Association of Schools recognized two students as student leaders at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington. Congratulations to Emily Lungarini and Casey Watson for receiving this prestigious award.
Tuesday, the administration welcomed 5th grade parents to WMS for a brief overview of the upcoming year. A full orientation for the incoming 6th grade students will be held in August. The power Point of this evening can be found on the Region 14 website.
