Welcome Back!
Welcome back to another great year at Horizon Elementary. We are off to a fantastic start and are looking forward to a year of great progress with all of our students. Every morning our students recite the Pledge of Allegiance and Horizon's vision, mission and motto together as they start their day. We hope this greatly encourages your child to become the best they can be.
Vision
To inspire learners and leaders for a lifetime.
Mission
As Horizon leaders, we inspire others by what we say and what we do.
Motto
Lead to Succeed.
Horizon's LEADER IN ME Program
Horizon continues to strive for excellence in their students by using the "7 Habits of Happy Kids". Each day our students are using the most important "soft skills" that will make them not only successful at Horizon but successful in every area of life. Check out this link to see what your kids are learning. www.leaderinme.org

Scantron Testing at Horizon
Parents should have received an email from Madison City Schools regarding the new state assessment that will replace ASPIRE for grades 3-6. We will be sending a more specific schedule home with your child on Wednesday, Sep. 6th.
HUGS for Houston!
Houston needs our help!! We will be conducting a school supply drive for the students at Scroggins Elementary (a low income school outside of Houston) to replace their lost supplies. The school suffered loss and many of the students homes flooded. We want to bless these children and get them some brand new school supplies!! Watch for the flyer in your child's backpack and we will be taking supplies until Sep. 15th.
