Twin Bluff November Update
We are Safe, Kind & Responsible
A quick word from Mr. Palmatier
Dear TBS Families,
I hope you are well! If you have not done so, please make sure to sign up for our Fall Conferences (11/11 and 11/16). Conferences are a great time to meet teachers, learn about the curriculum, and discuss your student's progress. Please click on this link to sign up for a 15-minute time block. As a reminder, please know that we do have a face-covering policy so make sure to have a mask. If you are not able to attend conferences at TBS, please contact your child's teacher to schedule an online conference.
I look forward to seeing many of you next week!
Respectfully,
Chris Palmatier, TBS Principal

Student Health Screening Checklist
Each day before your child comes to school, it is important to do a quick assessment of his/her health. Please take a few minutes to review the documents linked below, as they contain very important COVID safety information.
Parents are required and responsible for:
- Screening their children for COVID symptoms each day Screening checklist
- Keeping their children home if they are sick
- Calling the school's attendance line (651-385-4550) if they are sick or have COVID-related symptoms
- Reporting COVID symptoms, diagnosis, or exposure to the district
- If parents have questions, contact Joni Gorman at jmgorman@rwps.org or Shanda Jorgensen at sejorgensen@rwp.org.
- For more information on our RWPS policies please view the RWPS 2021-2022 Learning Plan
Please understand that any child who is exhibiting or complaining of symptoms that resemble those of COVID will be sent home. Our school nurse will always err on the side of caution to keep our school safe for everyone.
Care Clinic COVID Test Results
The school district cannot accept test results from the Care Clinic here in Red Wing. Their tests are Rapid (Antigen) tests that are not sent for cultures. Rapid tests that are not PCR tests can show a false negative. We can only accept PCR tests. Mayo does a Rapid test but theirs is a Rapid PCR test and we can accept these results. Please see this link to the Minnesota Depart of Health that explains the difference between the types of tests.
If you have questions please contact Briana Smith, TBS School Nurse @ 651-385-4535
Fall Conferences
Twin Bluff Fall Conferences will be held Thursday, November 11 (3p-7p) and Tuesday, November 16 (3p-7p). We will be using an online sign-up for conferences called PTCFast.com. We are hopeful this system will allow you to better choose a time that meets your needs.
To sign up, click on the link below or copy and paste it into your web browser. You may also access the link on the Twin Bluff School home page. Simply follow the prompts to register and choose a conference time. Make sure to select your son/daughter’s main teacher.
https://ptcfast.com/schools/Twin_Bluff_Middle_School
If you would prefer a virtual conference instead of an in-person conference, please connect directly with your child's teacher after signing up for a time, and he/she will provide you with a link to a Google Meet.
As per district procedure, we have one 15-minute conference time available per student. It is imperative that parents/caregivers who are connected to the student are receiving the same information and planning together, as a team, how to best support the student.
Please contact the Twin Bluff office at 651-385-4530 if you have difficulty. In Spanish, contact Kelly Hassemer at 651-385-4530/ext. 2682.
