Classroom News: 3rd Grade ~~ By staff writer: Dean Ibraimi
My name is Dean Ibraimi reporting from 3rd grade. Five students from Mrs. D'Elia's answered my questions. Some students said that literacy and cursive are their favorite subjects, (Jackelyn A. and Tanner M.) but some others said that they enjoy art (Fernanda B.), or math and science (Dean B. and Ben H.). All the students said they love the third grade, and most of them enjoy the fun activities. Then when I asked what they disliked about the third grade, things got interesting. Some of them said they didn't not like anything, but Ben H. said he doesn't like the fact of how little work they get. Jackelyn A. and Tanner M. say the hard assessments are the worst. I also asked them who they want for the fourth grade and why. Dean B. said Ms. Gultz, because she is very nice. Fernanda B. says Mrs. Bengel, because her book buddy had her and she told her Mrs. Bengel is very nice. Ben H. wants to have Ms. Gultz because his sister had her. Tanner M. wants Mr. Wagner because he is funny and people suggest him. Finally, Jackelyn A. wants to have Mr. Wagner because her sister said she liked him a lot.

Hi, JFK! This is student interviewer Aadhithyaram Balaji. I interviewed a few of Mrs. Bengel’s fourth grade students. The students are :
Cassandra
Joshua G.
Aubrey
Adrian
When I asked the fourth graders how they liked fourth grade, they said that they did! They thought that the subjects were harder compared to third grade. In math, the fourth grade is learning how to multiply 3 digit by 1 digit numbers. In social studies, the fourth graders are learning about the regions of New Jersey, our state! In science, forces in motion is the topic the fourth grade is learning.
The fourth graders travel from class to class to learn social studies, math and science. The students I interviewed said they liked travelling, but it is hard carrying science books around!
I asked the students which author they would want to visit their classroom. Jeff Kinney author of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” was the unanimous vote. They also wanted to add sushi to the lunch menu.
Thanks for reading the first edition of “The Bulldog Gazette”, and keep your eyes peeled for the next one!

I had fun interviewing a few of our fifth grade friends. Phaedra Q., Dillon J., Emma K., and Bashar A. I asked Dillon J. what his favorite ice cream was. Dillon said cookies and cream. Bashar A. said he likes to play outside when I asked him what do you like to do for fun. What season does Emma K. like the most? Summer she said, because it is warm outside. I asked Phaedra what could she do to make the school a better place... she said we could raise money for cancer since it was October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).

Hi! I am Pratham Kumar, a writer for the Bulldog Gazette.
I am reporting on a few fifth grade friends I interviewed from 5-I: Jacob S., Evan W. , Julia D. and Sasha A. I asked Jacob what he liked most about fifth grade. He said that he liked spending time with his friends and going on field trips. Then I asked Evan what new books he would like to see in the Battle of the Books. He said that he wanted the book Percy Jackson's Lightning Thief to be included in the Battle of the Books because it was an exciting book with lots of details. I asked Julia what after school program she wanted to add. She said that she wanted an after school program where they make posters and raise awareness about animal shelters. I asked Sasha what types of experiments she would like to see in science. She said that she wanted to do more experiments related to the human body. Then lastly, I asked Jacob what he thinks we can do to make the school a better place. He said that if we expand the gym it will help for many purposes. For example, we can host more people for the yearly play and children can do phys ed in a bigger gym.
I hope you guys liked this article and stay tuned for the next one!

The Best Halloween at Hollow Mine Camp
By: Stuti Desai 5-T
…”And she was never seen again.” We shuddered as Sam finished his story. Sam was a nice kid with green eyes that always stayed alert. He had brown curly hair and freckles.
It was my turn. And I was last, so I had to have a good finish. I knew I would end up embarrassing myself to the other kids at Hollow Mine Camp for sixth grade, so I had taken a story off the Internet.
I cleared my throat and said “As the bushes rose and the ghosts came out, 2 kids, no older than you or me, went into the woods to trick or treat at the forbidden witch house at the end of Parking Lane. As they went in, something happened, but all we know is that they were never to be seen again.”
“Not bad Cassandra” said Annabelle (who was my BFF for life) as we were walking back. Hey, if you hate your real name, that’s what you’ll be called all the time. I shrugged.
When we got to our cabin, I headed straight for the bathroom. I shuddered. I admit I was a little scared of Sam’s story...and the part about the hair combing and the disappearing because of the combing. To be cautious , I figured I shouldn’t face the mirror. I tried not to comb my hair to 3 strokes, but I couldn't help it. As soon as I reached 3 strokes, I was forced in... so, I thought. I screamed. Panic welled up in my throat. I thought I would die. No worse. According to Sam’s story, I would be tortured for life in the face of the mirror as another ghost.
Suddenly, I heard giggles. I looked back to see my friends, each holding tiny vacuum cleaners as to suck me in. They smiled and darted away before I could see them.
That was the best Halloween ever.
Who Will WIn? By Staff Writers Kara Langbaum & Jadyn Ninan
The republican nominee, Donald J. Trump, was born on June 14, 1946. He attended the University of Pennsylvania. His Vice Presidential running mate is Mike Pence. He is a businessman turned politician. Mr. Trump believes in closing the American borders so immigrants cannot get into our country and says he will deport any person who is not in the United States legally. He wants to build a huge wall between America and Mexico. Mr. Trump wants to lower business taxes. He wants to improve healthcare for veterans. Mr. Trump wants the federal minimum wage to be raised.
Here we have history in the making! We have our very first woman to run as a major party nominee, Hillary Rodham Clinton running in 2016! Mrs. Clinton is running for the democratic party, and as our next U.S president. Here is a little background information on our candidate. Mrs. Clinton was born on October 26, 1947 and went to Yale Law School (1969-1973). Mrs. Clinton's running mate is Tim Kaine. Mrs. Clinton has a passion to address problems like immigration, taxes, and foreign policy if she succeeds in becoming president. Currently, in most polls, Clinton leads over Trump by about 5%.
Now that you understand a little bit about our 2016 candidates, who will you vote for, Mr. Trump or Mrs. Clinton?
