Principal's Message

Dear Mashburn Families,

As we bring our 3rd month of school to an end, we are so very thankful for a great beginning to the year and all your support to make the year wonderful. We appreciate all your work for the BOOSTERTHON as we exceeded our goal – we will be putting in the track around the back playground this school year. We have the project lined up with Black Jack Paving, it may be closer to spring when this occurs in order to ensure temperatures are 50 degrees and rising. The company will use permaflex asphalt.

Here is the breakdown of the funds raised this year through Boosterthon and over the past 5 years with Boosterthon. Thank you!! WE are grateful for the team work and support parents provide. Together we are Better and we provide so many great things and opportunities for students.

Sincerely,

Carla Gravitt

Principal

A Message From Our Nurse

Dear Mashburn Families,

Hi! It is hard to believe I have been at Mashburn for three weeks! Time flies! I am enjoying my new role as the school nurse and meeting all the students, staff, and parents! Thank you for such a warm welcome. I have been a nurse in many different settings but this setting has to be the very best. My children are in their early 20's and getting ready to graduate from college, so it is very special to spend time with young school-aged children. I am planning on doing the Hearing and Vison Screenings for the first, third. and fifth graders in early to mid-November. More details on this soon! Thank you for your generous donations of supplies to the clinic . We are short on paper towels. If anyone wants to donate this item, it is much appreciated! If you have any specific questions or concerns, please let me know!

Looking forward to meeting all of you! Nurse Missy.

MES Storybook Pumpkin Patch 🎃

Book Character Pumpkin Patch

The Book Character Pumpkin Patch at Mashburn was a HUGE success! Check out the video below to see all of them. Thank you to all the families that participated! The way students depicted their favorite book characters through pumpkins was magical! Classes have enjoyed taking a tour of the pumpkin patch and finding their favorite book characters too!

Important: All Pumpkins will need to be picked up from the Media Center by Tuesday, Nov. 2nd. If not picked up, we will need to dispose of them to prevent rotting.

If you have any questions or concerns about picking up pumpkins, please contact Carol Ann Dunlap at cdunlap@forsyth.k12.ga.us.

Thank you again for making our Book Character Pumpkin Patch so amazing!
