Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Holder
September 21- 25,2015
We began a unit on Community Helpers. We are enjoying reading a book called Everyone Works. We are learning about the different jobs people have and what they do at their jobs. The children were surprised to learn that they have a job! We learned that their job is to go to work at school and learn.
As part of this unit we have been learning about transportation. We learned that transportation is something that takes you from one place to another. As a group we sorted pictures of transportation by how they travel -land, water, or air. A workstation job was to make a yes/no transportation graph. The children enjoyed painting paper plates and turning them into a car.
In writing we are continuing to work on writing the sounds we hear in words. In math we are counting daily and writing numerals to 20.
Look in your child's folder for First In Math Login information. Log on and have fun!!!
