The Carleton Chronicle
A weekly update from Carleton Middle School.
Fresh Start
On Tuesday, January 22nd we will begin our 2nd semester. This not only means that we have successfully completed one half of the school year, but it also means that our students will have a fresh start with their academics and behavioral expectations. For those students struggling to stay on top of homework assignments, class projects, or make up tests, you will have a chance for a new beginning. The first science test that you take, or the first ELA paper written for a grade will be your opportunity to demonstrate content mastery. Ace a math test in second hour and you'll have a perfect 100% in class. Was your New Year's resolution to be on time? Well, guess what? You don't have any tardies for the third quarter, and now you have the opportunity to be present every day this quarter.
New beginnings such as these don't always happen in the "real world" or with adults in their jobs. Encourage your child to take advantage of this opportunity and help them be successful in the new semester.
