Ripon Cathedral School Update
Week ending Friday 17th December 2021
Have a Very Merry Christmas
A King is Born
Our Year 2 pupils did a wonderful job of presenting their nativity, 'A King is Born.' With enthusiastic acting, singing and speaking the children ensured that we were reminded about the true meaning of Christmas.
A great way to end our term with a message of hope and love to carry forward into the time of Christmas. Well done Year 2, you are all stars!
Due to the restrictions we did limit the adults who were able to attend this event, however we have put together a short highlights film (see above) which does help to give you a taste of Year 2's Nativity.
A special visitor!

Superstars of the Term
This week we came together for our end of term celebration worships. This was the first time we had been able to gather for an end of term worship in 2 years! Classes shared learning that they had been doing this term and we announced our Superstars for the Term.
Well done to all our Superstars who have demonstrated such positive attitudes to their learning.

In Nursery, we have been learning about Advent, the true meaning of Christmas and the Christmas story. We created our own Acts of Kindness Advent Calendar, which has a challenge each day such as 'help a friend to fasten their coat' or 'invite a friend to join in with your game'.
We have been learning about the Christmas story by dressing up, making our own props and costumes, and using role play to re-tell the story of Jesus being born on that special night.
