Good Afternoon Graham Community,
We're wrapping up another week here at Graham with plenty of positives to reflect on. This week had the music department from Crone Elementary stop by for the 5th Grade Prelude, where students were introduced to different instruments and musical opportunities that they can explore when attending Crone Middle School.
Over in the LMC, Graham students joined millions of others around the world in celebrating Computer Science Education Week with the Hour of Code. What started as a one-hour introduction to computer science has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, and Graham students enjoyed a number of activities to explore computer science and coding.
Coming this Thursday, December 16th at 7pm, IPSD 204 is holding their latest Parent University, this time on Mental Health Awareness, Resources & Supports. This is a panel discussion webinar with local mental health experts that is focused on providing resources for parents to help support their children during this time. If you'd like to attend, you can register at this link.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to the Hesed House and GiftMart donation drives that helped give back to our community. This was a great example set for our students, and an excellent representation of the Falcon Four principles that we follow here at Graham.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Ms. Walton
An LMC Event : A PJ Party At Home
There are no rules. It is a great chance for the students, families, and staff to reinforce the importance of recreational reading.
Snap a picture of your student enjoying Family PJ Party and share with Mrs. Shiles @ michelle_shiles@ipsd.org. Your photo may make it into a special school video or shown on the announcement TV!
We hope this will be a fun and connecting experience for all!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Michelle Shiles
