109 Gives Back!
Walden students celebrated Valentine's Day yesterday by participating in a really nice tradition they have done for years, creating squares for Project Linus. It's an organization that puts blankets in the hands of kids who could really use them! Students got to design their own square, and these will be put together to form larger blankets. We are proud that our Wildcats are showing love for others!
COVID Information & Latest Protocols
Remember, you can visit www.dps109.org/covidinfo for the latest information as it pertains to our district.
We update this page when we get new guidance from healthcare agencies or modify any of our protocols, most recently in January with the new CDC quarantine guidance. We have gotten some questions about the criteria for returning to school after a 5-day quarantine. That is covered in the most recent IDPH guidance linked there.
Thursday's Board Of Education Agenda
Below you can find the agenda for Thursday's meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the District Office. We are pleased to be joined by students from South Park, our featured school of the month! Mr. Simeck will update our COVID mitigation protocol plan as part of his Superintendent's Report.
Social Media & Digital Safety Nights Recording
In a change of schedule, we will not be able to stream tonight or tomorrow's events live, but we will make a recording! Watch for that in your principal email at the end of the week and in the next edition of 109 News.
