WARRIORS IN 'THE KNOW'
3/26/2021 ~ Superintendent's Newsletter ~ 24th Ed.
"I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph, and there is purpose and worth to each and every life."
~ Ronald Reagan
Have You Practiced Your 'Elevator Speech'?
So what is an 'elevator speech'? It is a quick synopsis about something and/or experiences related to the something. The reason it's called an elevator speech is that it should be short enough to present during a brief elevator ride. Done right, this short speech can let others know about the something in a compelling way.
Have you ever been asked about our District, about what makes us unique? There are times your something might need to be Bonham ISD and our instructional or extra-curricular programs.
Take some time to think about what you might say in your speech. Have 1 or 2 topics ready in your mind you could talk about that would let people know how great Bonham ISD is and what we are about. Be ready to share what makes Bonham ISD unique and special in your eyes.
Your elevator speech should be brief. Restrict the pitch to 30-60 seconds. It should be a short recap about one thing that makes you proud of Bonham ISD, its programs, its staff or its students.
You need to be persuasive. Even though it's a short pitch, you should be compelling enough to spark the listener's interest.

School Athletic Trainer Appreciation Day
Friday, March 26th
Dana Payne serves BISD as the Athletic Trainer - which translates to Superwoman!
On a typical day, Coach Payne can be found providing treatment to students by 7:15 AM, attending athletic periods with her student trainers as well as providing athletic training services during before and after school practices. Even then her day is not done.....when we have home games and some away games, Coach Payne will be found there sporting her backpack full of training supplies. She is not done until all athletes are cared for and gone for the evening.
Bonham ISD is VERY fortunate that Coach Payne chooses to be a Warrior. I am very grateful and appreciative of all she does to keep our student athletes healthy and competing!

LHR Track Earns FOUR District Championships
There were so many events in which LHR athletes took several, if not all, of the top three places. With those results, it is not surprising they are the District Champs!! It was exciting to watch and I could see the pride on their faces.
