Chamberlin Gardens
We are pleased to announce that we are going to plant another Chamberlin School Garden this year! Due to the current limitations brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make a few adjustments. We are asking our students and their parents to help us grow the seedlings at home. This is a great opportunity for students, parents and teachers to learn about plants and gardening! When the plants are ready to be planted in the garden in late May or early June, we will organize that while adhering to proper social distancing guidelines. Our goal and hope is to have a verdant garden that the students can return to in the fall.
Below is a link to a SignUpGenius that we have set up so that students/parents can volunteer to grow the plants they want. If you would like to participate, please click on the link below and follow the directions to sign up. Some of the plants can be started indoors now, while others seeds will be planted directly in the garden (e.g. beans, sunflowers and pumpkins). We ask that you sign up for no more than 6 plants so that we can get a high level of participation. After you sign up we will send you more information about the school garden project.
We are grateful that one of our parents, Ryan Roberge, is again helping us out with the gardens. He also contacted Green Mountain Compost and obtained a compost donation for the garden beds, which Mrs. Farrell helped us deliver. Also thanks to Mrs. Boudreau, who is helping coordinate the sign up and garden organization. We are again excited for this school and family partnership.
Thank you and have a happy spring!

We Made The News!
Remote Learning Updates - NEW CLP Links for Grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grades
- There are new CLP links for grades Pre-K-2! The previous document was very big and taking a long time to load on computers, so we have a new document for learning beginning on Monday, May 4th:
- CLP for Pre-K: https://tinyurl.com/y7evbgom
- CLP for Kindergarten: https://tinyurl.com/y99z57uf
- CLP for 1st grade:https://tinyurl.com/yb62dgnm
- CLP for 2nd Grade: https://tinyurl.com/y7g67wur
- Packets will go out on the bus on Mondays. Packet pick up will be from 11:00-5:00 on Mondays. THERE IS NO LONGER PACKET PICK UPS ON FRIDAYS.
- Pre-K, K and 1 will have 1-2 Morning Meetings per week and grades 2-5 will increase to 3 Morning Meetings a week.
- Teachers will also be uploading and sharing new learning videos each week, with connected work assignments for students.
- WE ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE DAILY ATTENDANCE. THE AGENCY OF EDUCATION WILL ALLOW US TO COUNT THESE DAYS AS SCHOOL DAYS IF WE HAVE A MAJORITY OF STUDENTS IN ATTENDANCE FOR REMOTE LEARNING. Teachers will be tracking connections with students by 1:30 each day, including attendance at Morning Meeting, student interactions on Google Classroom and emails, texts, phone calls from parents. Parents/guardians can proactively send their child's teacher a status email, text or call to count towards attendance. If we haven't heard from you or your child by 1:30, a staff member will be reaching out to you. Also, please let us know if your child is sick, as we will track that in the same way that we did before school closure. We will be inputting attendance into our system at 2:30 each day. Please know that if you do get a call/email/text, we are only trying to make sure your child is OK and adhering to a state mandate.
Please stay tuned for ongoing information coming your way regarding remote learning as we navigate continuity of learning during school closure. We know that nothing compares to having your children in our classrooms with our excellent educators. We continue to learn and grow through this new way of learning and teaching, and appreciate your partnership as we work to support your family's academic and social emotional health. We are in this together!
