## Jack and the Beanstalk

This week our shared reading book was Jack and the Beanstalk. After learning the genre, characters, and sequence of the story, we made a class mural in our hallway! Ask your child what part they contributed to our board.

## Math

This week we finished our Math topic #4, ordering and comparing numbers. The test will be coming home next week. Our next topic will be topic #5, numbers to 20

## Writers Workshop

Did you check out your child's published Pattern books last week? If so, I hope you enjoyed reading their books and looking over their rubric. This week we have started our Unit of Study on How To books.

## Social Studies

We made our very own butter before Thanksgiving as an example of the hard work that children from long ago had to do. We also sorted pictures of long ago and today on a big Venn Diagram! Check out your child's Long Ago and Today book from this week and see if they applied their learning of the past.
