Science Information
- We are now working on matter and its properties and how it can change. Please have your child review their vocabulary on a regular basis as many of the words they are being introduced to are new and unfamiliar to them. As we are preparing for our students' return to school, there are some supplies that will be necessary for them to have and some that will be helpful as we are not able to share materials. Students should already be using a science notebook to keep up with vocabulary and important information. They will need to bring that to school along with their devices when we return face to face. If they are continuing to learn remotely, they should still be using a science notebook at home. Two items that will be helpful for them to have when we return are small personal scissors and glue sticks as we will need those for notebook activities. Look for more information to come as we receive it.
ELA Information
Remind for parents to check your students' reading and writing journals daily. This will help them greatly keep up with what is going on in class.
- Next week we will be covering how to identify the theme of a text.
- If your student has any missing assignments, turning the assignment in is very important for the student's grade.
- Participation during synchronous instruction is essential to student success
Math Information
- This week, students will be learning how to Add & Subtract Fractions!
- We will be readjusting to the students' Face to Face return to the building. Does your student know what cohort they are in??
- Please make sure students are caught up with their work in Google Classroom. We have at LEAST 2 graded assignments per week.
