What is the Tundra's climate like?

The tundra is always cold and never reaches above 50 degrees. It has a permanent layer of ice on the ground. The summers are very short usually lasting 6 to 10 weeks. The tundra is a cold and dry climate.

Where in the world is a Tundra biome found?

You can find Tundra biomes in Greenland to parts of Alaska, northern Canada, and northern Russia.

Some of the animals that live in the Tundra biome include Caribou, Ermine, Grizzly Bear,Harlequin Duck, Musk Ox, Polar Bear, Snowy Owl, and Arctic Fox.

Some of the plants you will find in the Tundra biome:

In the Tundra biome some of the plants you can find include Arctic Moss, Arctic Willow, Bearberry, Caribou Moss, Diamond-Leaf Willow, Labrador Tea, Pasque Flower, and Tufted Saxifrage.
