It's Almost Time!
We are ready for you to arrive at WSU, find your people, and share your stories of the pandemic and your journey to arrive here this year. You will be joining a group of Lancers who spent the last year encouraging each other to wear masks, get tested, and keep gatherings small. They showed the true spirit of #woolife by showing how much they cared about their home here and each other.
We need you to join this community spirit and help us reimagine the campus. It’s now time to get vaccinated and upload your documents.
As a reminder, all students are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, before coming to campus in the fall, and upload information about their status by their Move In date.
The Residence Life staff has worked hard to determine how WSU's residence halls may be best configured to support students who want to live on campus within the guidance and direction received through development of the University’s plans to repopulate our campus.
We will not be inviting early arrivals to the halls this year. The opportunity to move your belongings into your space for fall 2021 will be during the week of August 16 - 20. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
SHARING INFORMATION - We are asking that you share this newsletter with your family and friends.
Given the evolving nature of this pandemic, we recognize that we don’t have all the answers at this time, but we are working diligently and continuously toward solutions and will supply the community with the most updated information possible.

What Safety Protocols are Being Taken in the Halls?
While we cannot anticipate, much less eliminate all risks, a number of residence hall policies and adaptations are being reviewed and may be modified leading up to and through the fall semester to best support your health and reduce risks. At this time, these include but are not limited to:
- The required use of face coverings in all residence hall public areas.
- Mandatory weekly asymptomatic testing, surveillance as well as contact tracing.
- There will be a modified guest policy in the residence halls to limit the number of people entering each hall.
- Front desks will continue the use of a no-touch self-scan process.
- Cleaning supplies will be supplied in each lobby with refills to all supplies available on Tuesdays.
- The maximum number of persons allowed to be present in any residence hall bedroom will be limited to the number of occupants plus 1 person. Suites will be limited to the number of occupants plus 2 additional persons.
Resident Student Parking
To park in a designated space for residents, you must first apply for a decal.
The deadline for Resident Student Parking Permit Applications is July 31st 2021. Applications received prior to this deadline will be decided by the number of academic credit hours completed. Anyone who applies after the July 31st deadline, will be placed on a wait list and this list will be reviewed once parking spaces have become available.
You will be notified if you have been approved after the July 31st deadline, by email sent to your Worcester State University assigned email address. Please keep in mind that access to a WSU parking decal for resident students are limited.
