Aug 8: Student Homeroom Assignments and/or Schedule Information will be available to view in Ascender (Parent Portal)

Aug 15: New Teacher Orientation

Aug 10: Pre-K and any New Students (K-6th Grade) Orientation 5:30 New Gym

Aug 10: Meet the Teacher 1st-6th Grade 6:00-7:00 (Go to student’s homeroom as noted in Ascender or available at school during Meet the Teacher)

Aug 11: Football Scrimmage @ Sudan 5:30

Aug 14: Grade 7 and New Student Orientation 5:30 New Gym

Aug 14: Meet the Teacher 7th-12th Grades 5:30-6:15 (paper schedules will be available for pick-up)

Aug 14: Meet the Leopard 6:30, Location to be determined

Aug 16: FIRST DAY of SCHOOL- 8:00am-3:30pm

Aug 17: Football Scrimmage vs. Farwell/Olton 5:00


Aug 25: 1st Football Game vs. Haskell 7:00


On the school website, www.newhomeisd.org, you will find the 2023-2024 daily bell schedule, football schedule and school supply lists. For all families that pre-ordered school supplies through the New Home Foundation, your supplies will be delivered to the teachers’ classrooms prior to Open House.

A message from our principal

Dear NH Elementary and Community,


As principal of New Home Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year. I hope you all found time to enjoy family, relax, and have fun. We are all excited to have students back on campus, rejuvenated and enthusiastic for learning. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement. I am looking forward to working with each of you!

There will be an message from campus principal in our high school gym and once this concludes there will be time to meet the teachers in their classrooms. If you have multiple students attending school, this will allow you to see all teachers.


Aug 10: Meet the Teacher for Returning New Home Students K-6th Grade 6:00-7:00 (Go to student’s homeroom as noted in Ascender Gradebook or available at school during Meet the Teacher)



New Home Athletic Boosters, New Home Foundation, and After School Care will be set up in cafeteria for anyone that has questions or needs more information.
