Report Card Information
There will be two items that you will need to place in the Report Card Envelope this trimester: the FAQ Document and the Report Card Descriptor Page. Both of these documents have been copied and sent to your sites.
It is important to be familiar with the FAQ document because parents will look to this for clarification on grades.
Here is a link to the translated versions of these documents: Translated Report Card Documents Communicate with your building secretary to coordinate copying of the translated documents.
Below is the video clip that was shared with you on August 27th, 2015. This video clip explains the changes that were made to the report card this year.
District Wide Grade Level Meetings
District wide grade level meetings will be held twice this year after school at the ESC. The purpose of these meetings is to bring teachers together to provide input on curricular strengths and needs, much like Teacher Advisory Teams (TATs) used to do in the past. These will also support future planning for staff development, writing teams and curricular decisions. Please consider representing your site at the meetings with at least one team member per grade level. Each meeting will be at the ESC from 4:30-6:00.
Kindergarten - December 8th
First Grade - December 9th
Second Grade - December 10th
Third Grade - December 17th
Fourth Grade - December 15th
Fifth Grade - December 16th
If you are planning to attend your grade level meeting, please complete this form so we can be prepared.
Benchmark Literacy Boxes
It is important that you keep your Benchmark Literacy boxes with your materials. As you know, there are many, many pieces to these instructional materials which are easy to misplace. We have already had requests to replace lost items and we do not have budget capacity to do this. As sections are added and reduced, materials will need to be inventoried and returned to the warehouse. The original boxes will help with this task.
