Patterson Families,
As the first trimester comes to a close and we prepare to take a short break for Thanksgiving, I want to express my gratitude for everyone who makes it possible for as many students as possible to come to school everyday, on time, and ready to learn. I am thankful for:
- Our students and families for making daily attendance a priority, since they know the habit of attendance will help them do well in the classroom and eventually in a job
- Our amazing teachers who dedicate numerous hours into making each classroom an exciting and engaging place for exploration and knowledge so children do not want to miss out on learning
- Our wonderful office staff who unselfishly put students, parents, staff, and the community first in order to help daily operations run smoothly
- Our support staff that provides the extra hands and attention that our children need
- Our TEAM Patterson for dedicating time and energy towards fundraising efforts, monthly events, and playground additions as well as all the volunteers that commit to help these efforts for the benefit of all Patterson students
I appreciate each one of you so much.

This marks the 13th year for Patterson families to come together to provide food for families in our community. This is done through our Food For Families daily food collection which begins after Thanksgiving.
Last year Patterson families collected and donated over 2500 items! Can we top that this year? Let's have fun and see what we can do!
Follow the theme days if you can but any non-perishable food donation is accepted.
Food For Families Spirit Days will begin on November 28th:
Tuesday, Nov. 28th - Hats for Hamburger Helper
Wednesday, Nov. 29th - Cans for Cookies (Bring in one can/item and receive a cookie)
Thursday, Nov. 30th - Slippers for Soup
Friday, Dec. 1st - Jerseys for Juice, Jelly and Jello-O
When you bring in five items at one time you will receive a raffle ticket towards a turkey. Drawing will be Dec. 19th!

Attendance:
We appreciate everyone's efforts to avoid taking extra days off during the Thanksgiving holiday. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they're excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time and leave your child behind in school. This is as true in Y5 and Kindergarten as it is in high school.
The Holiday Gift Shop Opens December 4th
Students will be shopping from December 4th-8th in the Patterson Library.

Forget to Pick up your Fundraiser Items?
Popcorn Fundraiser orders that have not been picked up will be in the school office this week.
Leftover Halloween Candy?
Not sure what to do with all the leftover/extra Halloween candy you have? For the 17th straight year, Ms. Raymoure’s class is collecting Halloween candy donations! Her students will be packaging the candy in Thanksgiving themed bags and walking them over to the senior citizens living in Holly Woodlands later this month. This is a wonderful way for students to give back to their community! Please drop off your donations of wrapped candy to the office OR Ms. Raymoure’s room by November 16th! Thank you!
