Statistics and Probability
This week we are learning about displaying numerical data on dot plots, histograms, and box plots (box and whiskers plot).
By the end of this week, students will:
- know how to recognize a statistical question
- be able to calculate measures of center, including mean and median
- be able to calculate measures of spread such as range and mean absolute deviation (MAD)
- display data accurately using dot plots, histograms and box plots
- use their calculations of center and spread to describe their data
