Are you up for healthy living?

Healthy living includes many parts of our daily life. One important part of healthy living is exercise. Another important area is our eating habits. Finally, it is important for families to work together to form a healthy lifestyle.

Be Real with Yourself

Exercise using small goals instead of big goals. This will help you accomplish your goals without giving up. Many times as a person starts out with an exercise program, they set goals too high to actually accomplish. With smaller goals such as exercise 2-3 times a week for 20-30 minutes will keep you motivated to continue your routine without quitting.

Eating Healthy

This is easier said than done. Eating healthy is important but small goals will help you succeed. Each week try to incorporate one healthy food item into your diet. For example, one week try to make half your plate fruit or a vegetable. The next week try to substitute refined grains for whole grains. Before you know it, you will be on your way to a healthy eating lifestyle with small weekly changes.

Families Need to Move!

It is so important for families to work on healthy living together. Parents must be role models in order for their children to follow in their ways. If children must give up their devices in order to be active, so then should the parents. Together the family can incorporate healthy eating together, healthy exercise together, and all can have a better qualty of life

Let's Do It!

As we have learned healthy living can be achieved. If we make small goals for exercise we can easily accomplish, such as walking for 20-30 minutes 3 times a week. Changing our eating habits slowly each week can also help us to achieve our goals. Lastly, families need to work together. Moms and dad along with their children need to commit to making these small changes for a healthier lifestyle.
