At-Home Learning: Week 10

Elementary Schools

As we head into this "final stretch" of at-home learning in June, teachers and administrators look to finish strong with understanding that the end of the school year (even without building closures) is a time of mixed emotions for many children. Some children look forward to summer days without school responsibilities; others may feel anxious about an uncertain future. WHPS teachers and administrators remain committed to supporting you and your children through these final weeks of at-home learning. Schools will be communicating information on end-of-year details with families.

Will At-Home Learning Plans be available over the summer?

Yes, our at-home learning plans will be available on our district website throughout the summer to revisit as desired.

Learning plans for Weeks 1-12 will be shared in the week-by-week format listed below. In addition, learning plans for specific content areas (arts, music, science, physical education) will be formatted for reference by grade and/or topic, as with the Social-Emotional Learning Plans located below.

The learning plans include links to many engaging, no-cost, online resources made available to educators across the country this spring. Most of these resources will continue to be available through the end of June; some will be available through August. In other cases, our curriculum design teams have not yet been informed on time limits to access.

  • Please be assured that our district-wide subscriptions, such as Reading A-Z, will continue through the summer months.
  • In the event a specific resource (e.g., video) linked in a Weekly Learning Plan may no longer be accessible during the summer, you will be able to refer to the learning targets and other resources within a weekly plan to support students in understanding the "big ideas" for the week.
