The purpose of this course is to provide you with:
- A comprehensive overview of the current FLE curriculum
- In-depth discussions regarding various barriers to teaching the FLE curriculum while providing effective solutions
- An FLE tool box filled with multiple teaching tools and strategies to effectively utilize in the classroom
- A sense of confidence needed to successfully implement the FLE Curriculum
- An ability to effectively answer a plethora of age-appropriate student related questions
Agenda
To make you an FLE Superhero, we plan to do the following:
Engage one another in thought provoking conversations related to the specific FLE content covered
Brainstorm potential barriers to implementing the FLE content and potential questions students may ask that stem from what is being taught

This course will meet at the Minnie Howard Campus of TC Williams High School in room 175 on July 11-13 from 9am to 3pm EACH day.

Teachers recieve:
To receive these credits, teachers must attend EACH session for its entirety.
Staff members who will be teaching Family Life Education—and who have not already completed the course are expected to attend. In accordance with board policy IGAH, teachers are prohibited from teaching the FLE curriculum if they have not completed this or an equivalent course.
