The Warrior Way
Week of January 18th
Safety!
I want to thank each of you for all that you do to keep our children safe on a daily basis. There were a number of situations this week where staff members showed that the safety and security of our students will always be our top priority. I've said to many students and parents over the years that I really want students to do well academically and that I will work hard to help them have friends and grow socially but both of those things come in second to the responsibility of returning our students home each day safely. We are given a monumental responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for each of our students each day and I appreciate all of you taking that responsibility so seriously.
I know that many of you may be feeling some nervousness or apprehension regarding our active shooter drill on Wednesday. These drills are stressful and they do remind us of how the world we live in has changed drastically since our childhood. They do however provide us with an opportunity to reflect and make changes if necessary to ensure that we will return our students home safely each day. I look forward to the conversations on Wednesday and hearing your ideas following the drill. Please feel free to stop by and see me if you have any questions or concerns prior to the drill.
As always thank you for everything that you do for our students!!
Proud to be a Warrior,
Jeff
