McClatchey Messenger For Staff
May 10
What a great week for our staff!
Thank you so much for all the hard work and energy you put into to DME. When visitors walk through our hallways, they see children learning, working, smiling and laughing. I want you to know each of YOU are the reason our students LOVE our school.
Kids literally run into school in the morning. They can feel the love and warmth inside our walls. I want each of you to love coming to work! Work can feel like play when we love where we work, who we work with, and love what we do!
My door is always open to each of you. Please come to me to share victories, sorrows, or express any concerns. Together we can continue to create an atmosphere that embraces family!
Have a wonderful weekend!

MISD Board Member Note
During this week on the calendar where we recognize Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, I want to thank each of you for your service to our district.
People choose to live in Midlothian because of the great schools. This is because of the work that you do for Midlothian ISD. I am blessed to live in a district where the administrators, teachers, and staff care about their students and work hard daily to meet each students needs.
Your hard work and dedication makes our district shine. I know that your job routinely involves more than educating. Many of you serve as mentors, big brothers/big sisters, and even counselors to the students at your campus as you lend a listening ear. You make a difference in the lives of young children. Those in the teaching profession live a life of service and provide great examples to our students.
Our successes as a district are directly attributable to the teachers in the classroom and to those who support them in those efforts. Thank you for making Midlothian ISD a great district. You are a true inspiration and are to be commended for the job you do every day and not only in this one week designated on a calendar.
Happy Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week!

Summer Trainings
Compliance Trainings for Summer 2019
For Contracted Staff: Since MISD is offering an Exchange/Comp Day for Compliance Training this year, teachers would have to have all compliance completed by August 12 in order to have that day off.
It is the expectation of the district that compliance trainings are completed before school starts moving forward, therefore compliance deadlines will be August 19, 2019.
For Para Staff: Up to 6 hours of compliance training are due by August 12 in order for para staff to receive that day off as an exchange day. Otherwise, para staff can work August 12 to complete up to 6 hours of compliance training. It is the expectation of the district that all remaining compliance trainings (anything over the first 6 hours required for compliance) are completed by August 19, prior to the first day of school and completed during normal workday hours during back-to-school PD week for para staff.

- May 17th - 3rd - 5th grade students begin leaving devices at school. During this time, please check off receipt of device, cord and brick for each student. You can continue to use devices in the classroom.
