Well done, IB students!
Further, IB Diploma seniors completed their Extended Essays, their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Essays, and TOK Exhibitions!
The Extended Essay is an independent, self-directed piece of research conducted over 12-18 months, finishing with a 4,000-word paper.
The TOK Essay asks students to reflect, in about 1600 words, on the nature of knowledge and on how we know what we claim to know.
The TOK exhibition is a paper in which the IB student explains how three objects, selected by the student because of a specific meaning in his/her life, related to an IB prompt about knowledge and knowing.
Next, in March and April, all IB seniors have English and World Language oral assessments and their content-specific papers (IAs) are due. Our students are busy showing what they know and how they know it.
IB Career students are starting (11th grade) or finishing (12th grade) their Reflective Projects, which are in-depth research papers analyzing an ethical dilemma in their career fields. They are also discovering more about their goals through career-related community service, and learning key terms and current events in their selected World Language!
IB Diploma students are also reflecting upon their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) activities, which the seniors present before their TOK classmates in early April.
