IMPORTANT READ: OH, NO! Cups! Cups! & more Cups! LOL
We have been providing THOUSANDS of paper cups for students who forget their water bottles already this year. Literally, HUNDREDS of students are requesting multiple cups every day, and we are experiencing a CRAZY shortage of cups.
HERE'S THE PLAN:
TO GET A WATER BOTTLE IN EVERYONE'S HAND every day so no one needs a cup. :)
Please help us.
IF your child LOST or does NOT have a water bottle:
- We are happy to provide one!
- A parent donated water bottles for students who have been unable to purchase a water bottle or have lost and need a free one-time replacement.
- Students can tell their homeroom teacher or counselor that they would appreciate one of the water bottles.
IF your child ALREADY HAS a water bottle:
- You can help!
- They may keep forgetting it at home.
- Please help your child remember their water bottle EVERY morning.
- Place their water bottle with their backpack or by the door every morning or evening.
- Your help will make a huge difference. Thank you!
Making Adjustments to Afternoon Car-Rider Pick-Up:
Construction on Sarah Road to Begin Week of Sept. 27th
The overall plan is to widen Sarah Road to 5 lanes (providing much-needed turning lanes), however, the project could take between 1 and 2 years. Oh, my! It is my goal to communicate with you and keep you as up-to-date as possible!
City planners and construction planning teams plan to keep the current basic CRI traffic directions and procedures that community police & emergency responders put in place a couple of years ago.
- Car-rider traffic will still approach only from the South, (right turn only), then drive behind the school and right turn only as parents turn back onto Sarah Road exiting the North Drive.
- Buses will be the only traffic in front of the school
City planners and Construction Oversight Teams will instruct us if or when things need to be adjusted.
We appreciate your grace and patience! Working together, we will figure it all out & take care of our kids.

TUESDAY: 2nd evening of PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
WELCOME!
We are delighted to have you at CRI!
WHEN ARE CONFERENCES?
- THURS., 9/23 or TUES., 9/28
- 4pm - 5:30pm: SCHEDULED CONFERENCES ONLY. This time is reserved for scheduled 10-15 minute conferences if parents have a concern or teachers have reached out to parents because they have a concern.
- 5:30pm - 7pm: COME & GO CONFERENCES ONLY. This is an informal time to visit with teachers. There is not as much privacy during this time. It is similar to Open House. Teachers are available to answer quick questions regarding grades, behavior, quarantines, make-up work, grading, etc.
- CONFERENCES are WELCOMED but optional! It is a great time to get to know each other!
GUIDELINES:
- Only ONE (1) parent should attend Parent-Teacher Conferences with their child to help with social distancing in classrooms & hallways.
- *Each teacher has between 100 - 150 (or more!) students so the limit to 1 parent will help with crowding.
- Conference Nights are divided into times for "Appointments" or "Come & Go"
REPORT CARDS?
- Paper copies of report cards are not printed at Intermediate or middle school levels unless requested (ex: parents have no computer access)
- Call our administrative assistants 256-6955 if you need help checking your child's grades online in Parent Portal. You can check their grades weekly or whenever you choose!
