Middle School 6-8 Grading Timeline
EOY 2021-2022
Beaumont Independent School District
Final Exams Week of May 16 - May 20
- Middle Schools Final Exams: May 16 - May 20
- Exams should be complete by 12Noon on May 20
- Grades posted and finalized May 20 by 2:00 pm
Grades Due & Finalized: May 20
- All middle school grades must be posted and finalized in TEAMS by 2:00 pm. *Counselors/Grading Personnel can manually enter grades in the grade file after the 2:00 pm cut off.
- Remember, a middle school course for high school credit must have a grade in the Exam 2 – EX2 column in the teacher gradebook in order for AV2 and Year to calculate, even if an exam was not administered.
- Once grades are posted/finalized and any manual grades entered, Counselors/Grading Personnel should email Teams Support - teams@bmtisd.com to have AV2 and the Yearly average calculated.
- As soon as AV2 and the Yearly Average are calculated, Student Services will email an error report to the campus. Each campus is then responsible for making necessary corrections and recalculating averages.
Errors & Corrections: May 23
- Counselors/registrars should ensure all grade changes are entered in the grade file (report card page) by not later than 10:00 am on Monday May 23rd.
- Remember, if grade changes were made after Student Services performed the initial calculations, each campus is responsible for recalculating AV2 and Yearly averages in the grade file.
- If applicable, after all grades are averaged in TEAMS, students with excessive absences must be no-graded by placing an asterisk (*) in front of the grade in the Yearly Average column in the student grade file (on the report card page).
- Any student, who is being retained, must also have his/her next year line set back to the grade level of the current school year by the Counselor/PEIMS Data Clerk/Registrar.
Report Card Distribution: May 27
- When all grades are complete, including corrections, re-averaging, and no-grading for absences (*), Counselors/Grading Clerks should email TEAMS Support – teams@bmtisd.com to spool report cards which will be emailed to the campus for distribution. Note: The campus is responsible for double-checking and resetting next year lines as applicable for any students being retained.
- Campuses will print and prepare report cards for distribution to students for May 27th (last day of school).
- All envelopes should be stuffed and securely sealed.
- The envelope must include the school’s name in the return address.
- Envelopes must be neatly stacked, facing the same direction in order to place the stamp/postage in the upper right hand corner.
- A ‘Request for Postage’ form signed by the Administrator must be included to authorize payment of postage charges (the form can be obtained from your campus secretary).
