New CCGPS ELA Standards Review
Use the following link for access to the revised ELA and Mathematics Standards and surveys for feedback.
The survey will be posted for 60 days of public review and comment from November 12, 2014, through January 10, 2015. The draft revised standards and public feedback will be presented to the Georgia State Board of Education on January 15, 2015, for approval. Please forward this information to ALL stakeholders.
Reading Endorsement Application
For admission into the Reading Endorsement program, prospective candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a valid, clear, renewable Georgia Teaching Certificate
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Complete and submit all documents in the electronic application packet prior to the deadline: Friday, November 21, 2014

Running with the Story 5K Run/Walk for Literacy
The Run/Walk is sponsored by the Literacy Alliance of Metro Atlanta (LAMA), a coalition of more than 30 organizations, including Atlanta Fulton Public Library, seeking to achieve 100% literacy for the adults and families they serve.

The theme for this year’s event is “Running with the Story” and participants are encouraged to come dressed as a character from a favorite book. Prizes will be given for the best costumes, as well as for race winners in seven age categories.
