We're back! New year, same OwlFeed. However, I have returned as Editor-In-Chief to give Agua Fria the most up-to-date news possible. 2020 has already been a roller coaster ride of news, from the Australia fires and the Corona Virus, to the tragic helicopter crash involving Kobe Bryant, to the passing of our very own O.K. O.K. Fulton, a legendary Agua Fria Owl who worked in the district for 37 years, most well known for being a coach who led the Agua Fria basketball team to the state tournament 17 years in a row, died on January 17 at age 87. As a father figure to generations of students who crossed his path, Fulton is a common bond among decades of Agua Fria alums. He touched countless amounts of lives and showed the importance of community.

Mr. Manny Murillo is a substitute here at Agua Fria but has made a strong impact on our school. Not only is he an Agua Fria graduate, but he has provided scholarships to working students and funded many programs here on campus. Mr. Murillo has made a significant impact in the Agua Fria community because of his constant involvement and mission to help other students.

Advisory classes were first advertised to us on our Freshmen Only Day as a transition tool through which we were intended to garner some semblance of stability throughout our unpredictable and everchanging high school careers. Advisories were meant to keep us grounded throughout high school and provide a teacher for students to look to as a mentor. However, in the past four years (at least), it has lost purpose and morphed into a technology driven college advertisement class for some and an independent work study period for others.

President Trump Is Acquitted on Impeachment Charges

On February 5, the conclusion was here. The Senate came together to vote for the final decision of whether to convict and remove President Trump from office. President Trump was acquitted on both impeachment charges. The President had been charged with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

NBA Legend and Daughter Die in Helicopter Accident

On January 26, basketball legend Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas on their way to a youth basketball tournament. The helicopter dropped at a speed of about 23 miles per hour and slammed into the hill in a “high-energy impact crash,” according to the N.T.S.B.

Phase One: Construction Is Finally Over!

Since we have come back from break, the construction is complete within the E and the K building. All of the new classes have been filled up with students and teachers. Now we, as a community at Agua Fria, can see how these new buildings will work for us. The way classrooms are set up could be considered a good environment, and the new changes have many more benefits than before.

Sony’s motion picture hit Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse is getting a sequel and fans are getting excited for Miles Morales to return to the big screen along with various Spidermen/women to accompany him in his journey against crime. You’d think Spiderman is just a guy in red and blue tights fighting bad guys, right? Nope, he can be a pig, an anime character, detective or a Spider-Girl but in the end, all they want to do is protect the weak and innocent.

Halsey Album Review: Is it Really “Manic”?
Two and a half years since her last album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, Ashley Frangipane, also known by her stage name, Halsey, has released her third studio album, Manic. Rumors of a new album have been in progress since October 2018, where she released her first single, “Without Me.”

Is it possible that Need for Speed Heat is already dead after just three months of being out? Need for Speed Heat is a racing game developed by Swedish game studio Ghost Games and published by Electronic Arts. As an avid player of the Need for Speed series, I have to say I am somewhat disappointed by Heat.

Meet Ethan Hohbein
