-Hillwood Commons is the student and community hub of LIU Post. The three-story building features a large cafeteria, Starbucks, Subway, a lecture hall, a movie theater, a museum, a student art gallery, a computer lab, a gaming lounge, student organization offices, a convenience store, a student information center, student-run businesses, and a variety of areas for group study, recreation and quiet contemplation.

18.5 million dollar center which consists of a 3,000 seat gymnasium with three full-size basketball, volleyball and badminton courts; an elevated indoor jogging track; an eight-lane competitive-size swimming pool; a weight and fitness room; racquetball courts and locker rooms. It also features a state-of-the-art Human Performance Lab and “smart classrooms” equipped with fiber-optic Internet access for use by the LIU Post Health and Physical Education programs.


The 2,200 seat Tilles Center for the Performing Arts brings popular comedians, singers and bands to campus. Recent performers at LIU Tilles Center include Idina Menzel of "Glee," Ludacris, Fabulous and Trey Songz. Students receive discount tickets.

Hillwood Commons Lecture Hall, a 490-seat facility, is another popular venue for plays, small concerts, lectures and coffee houses.

The glass-enclosed Tilles Center Atrium also features concerts by local performers and student groups.
