Family Update - January 31, 2021
Welcome to the start of Second Semester!
Our Second Semester officially started on Friday, January 29th. Here are some general housekeeping items you can encourage your student to do:
1. Go through your emails and clean up/delete anything from first semester.
2. Make a list of tasks that need to be completed for the week each Thursday morning. Students can cross the tasks off as they complete them.
3. Make sure to set up a routine for second semester success. We encourage all students to take breaks throughout the day when working online. In addition to Google Meets, finding three hours of time each day to do school work.
Encourage your student to turn their camera on while in Google Meets...

Employee Recognition Program
Would you like to nominate a Stanwood-Camano School District employee for their outstanding service?
Please visit the district's Staff Recognition Program page for details.
SNOW DAY/INCLEMENT WEATHER UPDATE
If we experience inclement weather on a school day, learning will not stop for Stanwood High School. Every Thursday morning at 7:10 a.m., teachers drop work in their Google Classrooms for the students. The expectation is that students will continue to work on assignments that were already delivered.
**The teachers will hold Google Meets if power and connectivity permits. We will still be able to count the day as a school day as long as students have assignments available.
