National School Counseling Week
Music Production Pathway
Did you know we have a Music Production pathway in WSD3?
KRDO Newschannel 13 came out to interview Holly Dowdle and students at Widefield High School who took the Acoustics class last semester. This new pathway will eventually have four classes including acoustics, computer music applications, music audio production, and music business internship. Upon completion of the pathway, students will receive industry certification in Pro Tools 1 music software.
Female Wrestler Makes History in D3
Mesa Ridge High School freshmen Maggie Marjerrison placed third at regionals and qualified for the 4A Colorado Girls State Wrestling Championships! Maggie is the first female to qualify for state wrestling at Mesa Ridge High School and for Widefield School District 3.

Gladly Speaking
Congratulations to members of Gladly Speaking, Widefield High School's forensic team! Casey Ringer took first place in National Extemporaneous, and second place with teammate Sierra Segura in World Schools Debate.
Drop Everything and Read
Webster Elementary held its first DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) Day for the Tracy Vsetecka Read-A-Thon. The week's theme involved the whole school going into the hallways and gym to silently read together. Every Wednesday in February, students will be reading at the end of the day for DEAR, and each DEAR day has its own theme. (Photo courtesy: Marie Ciarletta)
