#WeAreRunningBrook - March 6, 2020
The PTA & You: Let's Chat!
March is here and that means we are rounding the corner for the end of this school year. We at the PTA thought now would be a great time to reintroduce ourselves!
Don't worry, we'll be brief -
The RBES PTA is a 501(c)(3) organization of volunteer parents, teachers and staff that work to bring fun and educational programs that boost the school curriculum and our school community as a whole. We do this through finding donations, fundraisers, sponsors, and volunteer hours.
See that wasn't so bad - eh?
Now the next part is up to YOU! We want to know your thoughts on the PTA.
Please join us on MONDAY, MARCH 9th at 7pm in the Media Center. This meeting we will have a special guest, Mr. Chris Rattay, principal of WLMS. He and his team will be present to share important information about the transition from elementary to middle school and answer any questions our 5th grade families may have.
Don't Have the Bandwith Monday Night to Attend? No Problem!
The RBES PTA is always working to make sure we can meet and engage our families as conveniently as possible. Take a look at our website to find out more about our initiatives and upcoming meeting dates!
I Can Be...A Police Officer
Officer Vitale and School Resource Officer Littlefield graciously lent their time to present to our third through fifth graders about the steps involved in the process of pursuing a career in law enforcement. The presentation was a great mix of information and Q&A with the students.
The officers also led an afternoon program for the kindergarten through second grade students which involved a book reading and Q&A.
The PTA thanks the Howard County Police Dept. for continuing to be a generous community partner for our school!
Interested in sharing your profession with RBES students?
Let us know - We would LOVE to have you!
