Progress Report
Here is the draft of the elementary progress report that includes the learner portrait. Teachers will be working on defining these themes in the coming weeks. We will also look at other changes in the academic areas.
Performance Assessments (PA) and Project Based Learning (PBL)
We are gathering more resources around performance assessments and projects for PBL. If you or your teachers have any PA’s or PBL’s resources they would be interested in sharing, Taresa would appreciate them so she can add them to TLC for all teachers. Please contact her with any questions ext. 92117 or taresamcspadden@vistausd.org

Summer School
The survey went out for administrators on Thursday from Amy, please be sure to complete that if you’re interested in being admin for summer school. Dates are June 12th-June 30th! HR will be sending the teachers survey soon.
Web Hosting Platform
We are making consistent progress transitioning to a new web hosting platform for the 2023-24 school year. We will be presenting the recommendation to the board at the April 6th meeting. Here is a road map to show you our plan for the new website rollout. Most importantly, the training of staff will take place over the next few months and the new website will be live on July 1, 2023.

Amy and Lori still have some time in April and May to present Science of Reading during your MTSS collaboration time. Email Amy or Lori if you are interested.
Family Bike Education Nights
Our first event was a success! We had families from all over Vista attend. Please encourage families to go to our next event on April 5th at Roosevelt! Especially those families whose children ride their bikes to school. Here are the fliers as PDF (English Spanish) and Images (English Spanish) for you to share in your newsletters and social media.
