Import Videos from Google Drive into Google Slides
Google just announced the ability to import videos directly into Google Slides without uploading them to Youtube. Once you insert the video you can right-click it and select Video Options to set the video segment time.
Mored details can be found on the IT Blog.
Canva Teaching Materials
It would be difficult to find a better graphic design tool than Canva. If you haven't tried it yet you certainly should. Canva can be used to design everything from simple graphics to charts and websites. It's also a great replacement for those that use to use Publisher. Be sure to look through these teaching materials for ideas.
Digital Tools & the 4Cs
As we continue on our journal to focus on improved Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking here are some great resources to help.
- Mentimeter- This is a great voting tool to use with students for brainstorming, etc. Student enter responses at www.menti.com using the code you provide.
- CoSpaces- Tell stories in 3D, build your own objects from geometrical shapes or create a whole fantasy world.
- Google Tour Builder- Show people the places you've visited and the experiences you had along the way using Google Earth. It lets you pick the locations right on the map, add in photos, text, and video, and then share your creation.
Google Slides Templates
- Go to http://slides.google.com
- Click the Template Gallery in the top right corner.
- Switch to Taylor ISD.
- Click the template you want. This will make a copy of the slides presentation.
I hope to add more templates in the future. Don't miss the templates under the General area as well.
Brainpop: Make-a-Movie Feature
Make Your Lesson More Interactive with Peardeck
