September Technology Trainings
M. R. Null Middle School
Each month I will be offering trainings for anyone to attend! The topics will be based on what there is an expressed need for. The trainings will be optional and will be offered in the form of Lunch and Learns and After School Sessions.
Tuesday, September 15th Lunch and Learn
What is a Lunch and Learn? It's a totally optional session where you bring your lunch and learn something that you can use immediately. Please bring a lunch since time is short, we will start on time.
This learning opportunity will be held in Library Classroom.
Since this is offered during lunch there may just be a little dessert awaiting those who attend :)
The topic for this Lunch and Learn will be Digital Assessment Options. We will cover the following things:
- How to use Plickers to gather student data (all you need is a teacher cell phone!)
- How to use a site called Quizizz. It's like an alternative to Kahoot and kids can access it for review using their own devices on BYOD or your classroom devices.
Thursday, September 24th After School Session
This optional after school session will be from 4:15 - 5:00 in the Library Computer Lab.
The topic for this session will be "How You Can Use Google Maps in Science, Social Studies, and ELA."
You will learn:
- How the teacher can create and use maps for instruction
- How the students can create and use maps to demonstrate understanding
