2016 Nebraska Pork Youth Conference
“Makin Bacon… and a WHOLE Lot More!” sponsored by the Nebraska Pork Producers Association, Nebraska Extension, and the UNL Department of Animal Science. A pilot project was held in the fall of 2015 and Saunders County had one individual who attended. I strongly encourage anyone interested in learning more about fabricating pork carcasses, culinary activities, etc. that you consider applying for this amazing experience. This youth conference is open to high-school aged youth. Applications will be available August 15th (or before). Youth are only responsible for their transportation to Lincoln. All lodging, meals and conference materials are covered through sponsorships.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Issue Team is piloting a new program for high school Juniors and Seniors called Startup Sprint.
