From the Superintendent
West Irondequoit CSD update from Aaron Johnson
January 6, 2022
Hello again Families,
The Monroe County Department of Public Health provided schools with a few key updates today on isolation/quarantining, returning to school and more. They are effectively immediately.
You will find more detailed information via this link and on the COVID-19 resource page of our website. These are difficult times and we know from our own experience it’s not easy to keep up with the changes. Please remember you can reach out for help by contacting our COVID Administrator on Special Assignment, Mr. Chuck Miller (chuck_miller@westiron.monroe.edu) and the health office at your child’s school (link to schools directory). Our staff will do their best to help.
If your child tests positive, please notify Monroe County so the date is on record and the return-to-school process can begin (link to the home test reporting form). Please also notify your child’s health office. Nurses can help you through the process. They are invaluable to our district in so many ways, and with the County being flooded with cases likely a more accessible option.
We truly appreciate your cooperation!
In partnership,
Aaron R. Johnson
Superintendent of Schools
