Week 35 - 5/15/2020
Week 35 - Only 2 Weeks Left!
Can you believe it? There are only 2 weeks left in May - and 2 weeks left in new lessons for this school year. As we wrap up the school year, work with your children to make sure they have the highest possible grades for the 3rd quarter. We would love to see every student have all A's in their core classes!
Also, if your child needs an activity, our 5 C challenge is below! This week's challenge is focused on hunting for specific words in different songs. We would love to see more students participating!
And finally, this week all students received an email to nominate their fellow student for Cougar of the Year. Ask them who they nominated and why - and if they have not filled it out, please encourage them to do so.
Parents, thank you for everything - we appreciate our partners in success!
MPMS Weekly 5C Challenge
Have some fun & practice using the 5 C's (critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, collaboration and citizenship skills) in these weekly challenges!
How It Works:
Challenges will be posted every Friday in the Manassas Park Middle School Newsletter. You'll have until the following Thursday to complete the challenge. To submit into the challenge, you can tweet your submission using the hashtag #MPMS5cchallenge OR you can submit it to the library’s Canvas account in the discussion board. All submissions will be reviewed by the end of Thursday, and the winner will be featured in the school newsletter that Friday.

MPCS Food Services Continue! Tuesdays ONLY
The MPCS School Nutrition Program is providing prepackaged grab-and-go meals at no charge to all children ages 18 and under on Tuesdays at the main entrance of Manassas Park High School between 4 and 6 pm. Please note this is a location change from in front of the Middle School to the High School.
In order to minimize the number of times parents must bring their children to the distribution site, a weekly set of prepackaged breakfasts and lunches will be provided on Tuesdays. All meals will be the same regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Safe social distancing practices will be in effect. As the meal distributions will be set up as a grab-and-go, attendees should follow volunteer direction to ensure safe vehicle traffic and open vehicle trunks for expedited delivery.
