News & Announcements
Revised 2023-2024 Academic Calendar
The Board of School Directors approved an administrative recommendation to adopt a revised 2023-2024 academic calendar. The sole change to the previously-adopted calendar is that the in-service date in April is now scheduled for April 10, 2024. You may click the "Quick Access: Instructional Calendars" link above to view next year's calendar.
Our growing population of students includes a larger number of Muslim families, many of whom have requested that the district consider having no school on Eid (the Muslim festival marking the end of the fast of Ramadan). Given that we already had an in-service day scheduled for April, we made the decision to move that date to April 10, 2024, so that our Muslim families may celebrate Eid.
We appreciate your understanding and support of our growing and diverse school community.

District Arts Fest, Featuring Fashion Show, is May 25
Cumberland Valley High School will host its annual District Arts Fest on Thursday, May 25, 2023. The event is open to students throughout the school day and to the public from 6 to 8 p.m. District Arts Fest is an annual showcase of work produced by K-12 students across the district in visual art, music, and Family Consumer Science to the CV community.
For the second year in a row, our FCS students will host a fashion show featuring their personal designs. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the showcase begins at 6:30 p.m. on the stage at the Performing Arts Center.
We hope you can join us for this beautiful showcase of work by our talented students.
Thank you to the Nakupuna Foundation and Wish for Wheels who partnered to gift every second grader at Middlesex Elementary School with a bike and bike helmet.
The day was full of so many smiles. And in the words of Arianna S., a Middlesex student, “It’s my dream and my favorite gift to get a blue bike. You guys really made my day and you made me so happy by doing this … thank you so much.”
Wish for Wheels handled the logistics of the event. Volunteers from Nakupuna Foundation's Nakupuna Companies were on site to assemble 69 bikes, to ensure each student had a properly fitted bike and helmet, and to provide support and assistance as students took their new ride for some laps around the playground.

Portrait of an Eagle: Student Spotlight
Students in Mrs. Miller’s 4th grade class at Hampden Elementary School are counting down to the last day of school by celebrating a classmate each day. Every day students write encouraging comments about their classmate, and at the end of the day the student gets to take home their celebration board. This is such a kind way to demonstrate communication and to build confidence. They are a Portrait of an Eagle!
