From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger

On Wednesday night, we were treated to a wonderful Christmas concert by our students at CCA. Each grade performed exceptional with each grouping adding their own specific talents and flare. Great job by all. Thank you to Mrs. Harder and Mrs. Wilsing for sharing their musical talents while developing the gifts in our students each year.

On Friday, December 21st, we will have our traditional spaghetti lunch for all of our students and teachers. This has become a favorite as the students eat with their buddies and listen to Christmas music as the teachers serve, help clean up, eat with the students. A great way for our CCA family to come together prior to the Christmas break.

Also on Friday, December 21st, we have early dismissal at 1:00 pm (with busing). Please be prompt in picking your child/children up that afternoon. School will resume on Wednesday, January 2nd.

Sheboygan Progressive Care Center Gift Drive

Twice a year, during the Halloween and Christmas seasons, the CCA middle school visits Progressive Care Nursing Home to decorate pumpkins and sing Christmas carols with the residents. Many of our students build relationships with the residents they see each time, and the residents are glad for the company. This year, in order to make our visit especially meaningful, the Student Service Council will be running a drive for items to bring as gifts for the residents to entertain and enjoy. If you have any of the following that you would like to share, please drop them off on the table outside the school office for the middle school students to wrap and deliver: books, crosswords/word searches, coloring supplies, or games.

Donations for STEAM

Thank you to everyone who has been collecting and donating items for our STEAM projects! At this time we are out of storage so we will not be accepting items. We will, however, let you know when we need more.

Thank You!

The Home and School Committee would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with the Holiday Shop or the Fill-a-Tin Cookie Event! Whether you baked up some goodies or volunteered your time, we couldn't have done it without your help! The WPCP allows students throughout the State of Wisconsin to attend private and religious schools tuition-free through a voucher provided by the state. Below is the full School Choice announcement. Brenda Binversie has been hired as our new School Choice Coordinator and will assist the application process.

Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship for boys and girls ages 9 - 14 will be held on Sunday, January 6th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School. Registration begins on site at 1:00 pm and the shooting competition will begin at 1:30 pm. Pleas see the below flyer for more details.

CCA Calendar Raffles

One of our main fundraisers each year is the Annual Calendar Raffle. The money raised help to keep our tuition rates as low as possible. The Calendar Raffle is a pocket calendar that features special events throughout the year at Christ Child Academy as well as some advertising. We will draw $30 winners every day of the school year. On special holidays that are listed, the cash payout is $200! The cost per Calendar is just $20.00.

As in past years, each family will receive 20 calendars to sell. This is the minimum number that we would like each family to sell. Our goal is to sell 2500 calendars for a net profit of about $40,000!!

All calendars must be sold and turned in by January 2nd, 2019 (First day back after Christmas break). State law prohibits us from selling calendars past the first drawing. We encourage you to turn the tickets in as they are sold; please do not hold on to them as we want to make sure that none get lost or forgotten.

Make sure to take the raffles with you to family get-togethers. The calendars also make great birthday or Christmas gifts for your friends and family.

Selling Calendar Raffles After Mass

2018 Annual Fund Appeal

The 2018 Annual Fund Appeal for Christ Child Academy is in full swing. The mailings have gone out in November and we are already receiving many donation envelopes back. Our goal for this year is $75,000. Monies raised help enrich programs, technology, academics, arts, and help us to keep tuition reasonably affordable.

This year, we have added a new feature for your convenience. We have partnered with GoFundMe to accept online donations for our Annual Fund Appeal.

Safeguarding All God's Family

If parents or grandparents plan to participate in field trips, work in the lunchroom, coach, or help out at school, you must attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. You must register on-line at and indicate you are associated with Christ Child Academy. If you have not previously been trained, now is a great time to attend a session.

Box Tops for Education

CCA can earn money from clipping Box Tops found on various products. When you buy items, simply clip the Box Top and bring it to CCA. The Box Tops are submitted, and our school receives a check which is used towards our activity fund. It’s another easy way for you to help the school by purchasing the products you already use! Enlist your family, friends and neighbors to collect the Box Tops, too.

Kwik Trip Milk Moola

CCA will receive 5¢ (five cents) for each cap or milk bag top they redeem from Nature’s Touch® products. The program will only accept specially marked caps and bag tops that feature the Milk Moola symbol. Thank you to Paula Hilbert, who has been overseeing this program for many years!
