The Holiday Concert is a performance grade (final exam grade) for your students.
Please Invite family and friends to enjoy this wonderful concert.

Holiday Concert Details for All Bands
CALL TIME is:
5:45pm for Cadet/Beginner Band students in the BJHS Chorus Room (immediately behind the stage). Students will need to be Checked In .
6:00pm for all Concert and Symphonic Band students in the BJHS Chorus Room (immediately behind the stage). Students will need to be Checked In .
The Concert will start at 6:30pm and should be done by 8:00 or so.
All students are required to stay for the entire performance.
All students must be Checked Out from the BJHS Chorus Room after the performance.
Cadet/Beginner Band - Students need to uncase their instruments in the Chorus Room then go straight to the Stage. They will warm up/tune on Stage. After their performance ends students will exit the stage, case their instruments in the Chorus Room, then go to the designated seating area in the Auditorium.
Concert Band - Students will uncase their instruments in the Chorus Room and stay in the Chorus Room for warmup/tune. After their performance ends students will exit the stage, case their instruments in the Chorus Room , then go to the designated seating area in the Auditorium.
Symphonic Band Students will leave their cases in the Chorus Room then go to the designated seating in the Auditorium. When the Cadet/Beginner band performance is over, Symphonic Band will go to the Chorus Room to uncase their instruments and warm up/tune.
Order of Performances
Cadet Band/Beginner Band (6:30-6:45)
Concert Band (around 6:50)
Symphonic Band (around 7:15)
Uniforms and Concert Attire
Uniforms for the Holiday Concert is as follows:
Cadet/Beginner Band
Solid White Top with at least 3/4 length sleeves (can be blouse, sweater, button up, etc. as long as it is solid white. No T shirts please)
Black Dress pants (no denim please)
Black Socks
Solid Black Dress Shoes
(Please contact us if you need help getting the Uniform together)
CONCERT and SYMPHONIC BANDS
Boys
Black Tux Pants
White Tux Shirt
Black Bow Tie
Black Vest (provided if you did not purchase your own)
Black Dress Shoes and Black Socks
Girls
Black Concert Dress
Black Plain Closed Toe Shoes (no shiny buckles or embellishments)
Black or Neutral Colored Panty Hose for Girls are OK
Minimal Jewelry is OK
Please have pants and dresses hemmed before the Concert.
Uniforms were ordered long enough for hemming to be taken out and hemmed again as your child grows.
Volunteers are needed for the Holiday Concert
We need a few volunteers for the concert. It will be keeping an eye on the students back stage and checking their uniforms. We need four parent volunteers from Concert and Symphonic Bands for the first shift (Check In while Cadet/Beginner Band plays) and four parent volunteers from Cadet/Beginner Band (while Concert and Symphonic Bands play and Check Out). We also need four parent volunteers to sit in the student section during the entire performance.
You will not miss your child's performance, your volunteer shift will end/start in enough time to watch their performance.

Holiday Concert Silent Auction
HOLIDAY CONCERT SILENT AUCTION BASKETS AND DONATIONS:
A Silent Auction will take place during the Holiday Concert
Money raised during the auction will help with much needed instrument repairs and purchasing new instruments.
-We are considering a coffee fundraiser in late January or early February. Samples of the coffee will be available in the silent auction area during the concerts on Monday. Come taste the coffee, view the cute coffee bags, get some info, and let us know what you think!
